Not Hanging Around on Spring Break
Spring Break may be one of the highlights of any high school calendar (because who doesn't need a break two months after the Christmas break?).
But being off doesn't mean the learning has to stop. This Spring Break, 12 students and 3 staff will once again head to Belize on a service trip. 17 other students, 1 staff member and 3 adult chaperones are heading to the Dominican Republic to work there. Still another 12 students, 3 extra travelers and 3 staff chaperones are off to Berlin, Prague, Lucerne and more on
a European cultural trip.
Belize Trip 2017
All of these trips offer opportunities for growth and seeing the world in a much different perspective. While it's too late to get in on one of those 3 trips, there is at least one service trip planned for next Spring Break (info coming soon), as well as another Canadian Battlefields Trip.
TDChristian is planning its fifth trip to Europe to visit battlefields where Canadians played significant roles during WWI and WWII. The trip hosts/chaperones/organizers are Richard Vanderkloet, Alice Vanderkooy, and/or David Robinson. The trip is open to current TDChristian students who will be attending TDChristian next year. Parents, guardians or grandparents of these students are also welcome on this memory-making trip. In previous years, the Canadian Battlefields Trip has been a great shared experience for parents/guardians and their children. There will be an information evening for students, parents/guardians and others who are interested in learning more on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at TDChristian. It is the same day as Learning Dialogues. Schedule them before 7:30 p.m. on that evening and then join us for our meeting. For further information, check out the link here.
