Grandparents Day Takes Over TDChristian

Grandparents Day is one of the highlights of our school year. Yesterday, hundreds of

grandparents came to visit our school, and their grandkids (and for some, their great grandchildren). For many, it was their first time in our school, and probably it was quite a while since being in a high school. For others, they have been visiting our school, either as a past student, past parent, or community member, numerous times over the decades.

Our students are excited to spend time with their grandparents, introduce them to their friends, bring them to a class, and hopefully have lunch together afterward. For the grandparents, they get to see the opportunities our students have at our school, how we value their grandchildren, and how we don't do anything here without God's help, direction, and guidance.

One of the best parts of the day is when we all watch a video (made that morning) of grandparents sending a message to their grandchildren:

You can also see the love and warmth between students and grandparents in our photo galleries of the day. All the pictures can be shared or printed directly from the links.

And Part 2 here.

Note: Not all of our students have grandparents that can come on Grandparents Day. This is especially true for our international students. We love when seniors come who don't have any grandchildren currently in the school, so we can do an "adoption" for the day.
