This school year marks the start of the sixth season of The Pulse, TDChristian's television show created for, by, and about the students of our school. In the past five years this has been pretty much a grade nine production, but this year we've been able to open it up to grade nine, eleven, and twelve students. The Pulse is shown about every three weeks at assembly, and also online on our Youtube channel, TDCHWoodbridge.
It's a lot of fun and hard work to put together a television show that's both funny and serious, interesting and informative. Students start with very little or no camera, interviewing, or editing experience and, in about six weeks time, have to have a show ready that will be shown to everyone in the school. We all learn so much by watching it with the entire student body and see what they respond to, and what they don't respond to.
Problem solving, collaborating, using technology, storytelling, learning from direct feedback, and effectively communicating to various audiences are all skills students learn in this class. All skills vital to students in 2017 and beyond.
Here is our first show of Season 6. We hope you enjoy it.
