A buzz phrase in education these days is "21st Century Skills". What that really means is: what are our students learning that will prepare them to manage and thrive in today's complex, ever changing world?
Many of these skills involve collaboration and teamwork, creativity and imagination, critical thinking, and making an effective presentation.
Whether it's at the workplace, talking to your mechanic, applying in a job interview, asking someone on a date, or in a thousand other scenarios, presentation skills are important.
At TDChristian, everyone presents. It's part of every course, every subject. At the end of every semester, our school has a Presentations Day where hundreds of students present in dozens of classes.
Our most recent Presentations Day on December 7, 2016 was another celebration of the learning that goes on every day at TDChristian.
Walking through the school that day, you would see all kinds of enthusiastic presentations occurring where students were SHOWING what they know.
Our next Presentations Day will happen during the school day on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. You can help us simply by dropping by and being an audience for our students. We hope you can join us!
