Description
·
Independent
projects are designed to give you hands on experience to
develop skills (initiative, follow-through, leadership,
communication, problem-solving, creativity, etc.) which are
essential for operating a small business.
·
There
will be 4-5 independent projects that you complete during
the semester. You are encouraged to design your own
independent project. It can be related to course material,
the school store, school events/groups, or your own
business venture.
·
The
amount of time spent in a project will vary; an indepth
task may count as two independent projects, but not more
than two. Please communicate with your teacher how much
time you spent on the project.
·
If
you are a manager in the school store, that is considered
one independent project.
·
If
you complete more independent projects than required, you
will have less work to complete for the business plan
portion of your summative mark.
·
ALL
independent projects MUST be approved by your business
teacher first (be sure to inform the I.P. Tracker of your
topics) top
Evaluation {Printable
Version} Each independent project is worth 100
marks, and is graded by the rubric below: You must fill out
the form below before your conference at which a mark is
negotiated.
